Role Overview:

The Business Analyst will work closely with Business, Operations, Risk, Fraud, and Compliance teams to analyze high-volume financial transaction data and generate actionable insights. The role requires strong hands-on capability in SQL, Hive, Python, and dashboarding, with a clear understanding of fintech payment ecosystems and regulatory reporting requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze large-scale transactional datasets including payments, settlements, refunds, reversals, and failures.
  • Build analytics around customer funnels, conversion metrics, drop-offs, and churn.
  • Perform trend, cohort, variance, and root-cause analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Provide data-driven insights for risk monitoring, fraud detection, and compliance reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc deep dives for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.


2. Reporting & Dashboards

  • Design and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS dashboards for:
  • Business & Growth
  • Operations & TAT
  • Risk & Compliance
  • Create management dashboards with clearly defined, actionable KPIs.
  • Automate recurring reports to meet RBI, internal audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation across multiple sources.


3. Data Platform & Automation

  • Write optimized queries in MySQL and Hive to handle large datasets efficiently.
  • Work within the Cloudera ecosystem using Hive and Hue.
  • Automate recurring reports and workflows using Python and Shell scripting.
  • Use Advanced Excel and Google Sheets for reconciliations, validations, and quick-turn analyses.
