We are Looking for SDET - Test Automation (Pool Based Wagering)

Role: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), Pool Based Wagering

Location: Vienna, Austria

About the Role:

In this role, you will move beyond simple UI testing to validate the integrity of high-value transaction engines, where precision in calculating odds and dividends is critical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Framework Ownership: Design, implement, and maintain a scalable test automation framework using Playwright.
• Complex Scenario Testing: Automate end-to-end user journeys for pool betting products (e.g., Tote, Placepot, Quadpot), ensuring the system handles complex combinations correctly.
• API & Backend Verification: Perform rigorous API testing to validate the mathematical accuracy of backend services, ensuring odds and dividends are calculated correctly in real-time.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipeline (Azure DevOps/Jenkins) to enable rapid and safe release cycles.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure quick resolution before production release.

Required Technical Skills:

• Automation Tooling: Deep expertise in Playwright is essential for this role.
• Coding: Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript for writing clean, maintainable test scripts.
• API Testing: Strong experience testing RESTful APIs and validating JSON payloads.
• CI/CD: Experience setting up and maintaining test pipelines in tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Version Control: Comfortable using Git for version control and code collaboration.

Preferred Experience:

• Domain Knowledge: Experience in Sports Betting (specifically Pool/Tote betting) or Financial Services is highly advantageous due to the mathematical nature of the product.
• Performance Testing: Basic familiarity with load testing tools (e.g., K6, JMeter) to simulate high-traffic events.
