As a Senior R&D Project Manager, you’ll drive the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion. Your influence will span multiple countries and teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, resource optimization, and risk mitigation.
What will I be doing?
- Managing projects to successfully support IQM's R&D roadmap & gaining quantum advantage.
- Develop and execute project, resource allocation, and risk management plans.
- Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams to meet ambitious goals.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Identify, communicate, and resolve project risks and dependencies.
- Keep stakeholders—including sponsors, customers, partners, and team members – informed and engaged.
- Partner with stakeholders to support the technology roadmap effort, helping draft the roadmap and ensuring milestones and feature requirements are clearly defined and complete.
- PhD in a relevant scientific or engineering field, with both academia and industry experience.
- Strong research background — you understand how academic research projects are run.
- Proven project management experience. Experience in deep tech innovation management is considered a plus.
- Experience working with scientists, researchers, and academic teams.
- Deep-tech R&D background. Quantum or related high-tech fields are a plus.
- Comfortable in startup/scale-up environments and fast-moving teams.
- Clear communicator and able to bring structure to complex work.
