Ideal Candidate Profile

1. Senior or Expert‑Level DevOps Engineer
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of designing, implementing, and scaling DevOps practices in enterprise environments, ideally within regulated sectors such as health, insurance, or finance. They are not only strong technically but also capable of shaping processes and influencing engineering culture.
2. Deep Technical Expertise
Core DevOps and Automation
- CI/CD pipeline design and optimisation
- Automated build, test, and deployment workflows
- Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
- Solid understanding of GitOps principles
Cloud Architecture
- Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider
- Comfortable designing hybrid cloud and on‑premises solutions
- Able to advise on scalability, resilience, and cost optimisation
Monitoring and Observability
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Familiar with modern observability stacks
- Able to design systems that detect issues early and recover quickly
3. Strategic Thinker and Culture Builder
This role requires someone who can champion DevOps culture across teams. The ideal candidate shortens feedback loops, improves release frequency, drives automation, and supports continuous improvement. They influence without authority and help teams adopt modern engineering practices.
4. Strong Communicator and Cross‑Functional Partner
They collaborate effectively with developers, QA, cloud architects, product teams, security, and leadership. They can explain complex concepts clearly and make balanced decisions between speed, quality, and risk.
5. Analytical, Structured, and User‑Focused
They think in systems rather than silos. The ideal candidate designs with user experience in mind, performs structured analysis before proposing solutions, and balances innovation with operational stability.
6. Experience and Background
- Several years of DevOps experience at Senior or Expert level
- Strong cloud background (Azure, AWS, GCP, or IONOS)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code
- Experience in large‑scale enterprise environments
- Experience in regulated industries is a plus
