You will own the execution of our most critical user-facing systems and the automation that powers them. This is not a typical BA role. You won't just gather requirements; you'll be a deep domain expert who understands what users really need - often better than they do themselves. You'll listen between the lines, identify pain points that users don't articulate, and design solutions that simultaneously improve their experience and eliminate manual work.
You'll work across three interconnected systems: client onboarding, the client portal, and the internal operations portal. You'll conduct user research, map workflows, design user flows, create wireframes and specifications, and identify automation opportunities. You'll dive into workflows, untangle them, and rebuild them as frictionless experiences that work for both external clients and internal teams. We're looking for a builder who can see the full picture, obsess over every detail, and know when to challenge what users ask for in favor of what they actually need.

You'll work across three interconnected systems: client onboarding, the client portal, and the internal operations portal. You'll conduct user research, map workflows, design user flows, create wireframes and specifications, and identify automation opportunities. Your role at xpate:
- Conduct user research to understand real pain points in onboarding, portal usage, and internal operations.
- Own the B2B onboarding journey - define and map user flows, create wireframes and detailed specifications, identify automation opportunities, and work with all teams to embed regulatory requirements seamlessly.
- Own the client portal strategy - design workflows that reduce support tickets through self-service and automation.
- Design the internal operations portal - dashboards, workflows, efficiency tools that make your team faster. For every workflow you design, ask: "What can be automated?".
- Design workflows that leverage AI and automation to handle routine work.
- Define success metrics, analyze user behavior and bottlenecks, and continuously iterate based on data.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure all systems work together as one coherent experience.
- You have 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in B2B fintech, BaaS, payments companies, card issuance, or B2B banking platforms.
- You have deep domain expertise in B2B onboarding, compliance, identity verification, and payment flows.
- You can create wireframes, user flows, and detailed process documentation that guide teams to build exceptional solutions.
- You're a power user of design software (Figma, Framer), analytics platforms, automation tools, and AI assistants - and you actively use them to accelerate your work.
- You have extreme ownership: when a workflow is broken or a user is struggling, you don't just report it - you obsess over fixing it.
- You can listen between the lines and challenge requirements to propose better solutions.
