Join our team as a Backend Developer (Hybrid – Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto, Braga)!

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
• Implement and optimize microservices and modular architectures.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Ensure strong database integration, query optimization, and data integrity.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring clean, maintainable, and secure code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sprint goals on time.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure applications follow best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical training.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend or full-stack development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including database design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot; experience with other Java frameworks such as Hibernate/JPA, or Quarkus is a plus.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration tools.
• Proven experience designing and developing APIs and RESTful services.
• Experience working with cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and professional development.
• Previous experience working in an Agile environment, preferably using Scrum..
• Portuguese and English proficiency at a professional level (minimum B1/B2).
• Living in Portugal and available to work in a hybrid model.
