This important new global role will lead on the development and implementation of my clients information security strategy to safeguard the company’s information assets.

Job Overview:

• Design and implement a comprehensive risk-based information security strategy that is aligned and integrated with the business strategy, goals and objectives.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize the information security risks to the company. Agree information security risks and their impact on the organisation, with senior management.
• Agree and secure the necessary resources for the implementation of the information security strategy and manage the associated budget.
• Lead and manage the core information security team.
• Drive collaboration and be a key interface across the business, particularly, with IT and OT leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external policy, legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Lead and manage cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Be a leader in IT and OT security integration in conjunction with IT and OT leaders across the Group.
• Define, maintain and communicate the information security vision, policies and procedures.
• Develop an awareness and skills programme to foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
• Provide regular reporting against objectives and milestones laid down in the strategy.
• Provide timely and actionable threat intelligence information to senior management and other internal stakeholders.
• Stay well informed and knowledgeable about the latest information security technologies and trends.
• Establish and manage relationships and communications with authorities, governments and regulatory entities.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Proven experience in leading security teams and managing security programmes and initiatives in a complex environment.
• High levels of emotional intelligence, cultural intelligence and stakeholder management aptitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate information security concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Self-starter, comfortable operating with minimal supervision but within the parameters of a defined strategy.
• Mature analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in information security leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with the ISO/IEC 27001 standard.
• Good knowledge of information security frameworks, standards and best practices.
• Good understanding of information/cyber security issues across various sectors.
• Good domain of information security related regulatory landscape (e.g. GDPR, NIS2, DORA).
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Significant overseas travel (20%) with occasional working abroad for periods up to 3 weeks.

Desirable

• Information security leadership certifications are a plus e.g. CCISO,

Qualifications:

• CISM, CISSP, etc.
