DevOps Engineer

Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in infrastructure management, pipeline setup, and troubleshooting, as well as a strong understanding of cloud-based environments, particularly Azure. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and contribute to optimizing deployment processes and system performance.

Key Accountabilities

[Infra / Support]

Diagnose and resolve deployment environment configuration and connectivity issues.

• Conduct proof of concepts (PoCs) for new infrastructure requirements.
• Research and implement solutions for new infrastructure challenges.

Work autonomously on small to medium tasks with minimal supervision

Perform CRUD operations on database objects and manage database access.

Support database development tasks as needed.

• Administer Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and adaptability to new requirements.
• Conduct proof of concepts (PoCs) for new infrastructure requirements.
• Research and implement solutions for new infrastructure challenges.

Work autonomously on small to medium tasks with minimal supervision

[Azure] Azure Administration:

• Configure, update, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure components, including:
• Azure API Management (APIM) and related connectivity.
• Azure Application Gateway, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and related connectivity.
• Manage and troubleshoot Virtual Machines (VMs) and OS-level issues, particularly Red Hat.

• Setup, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Integrate pipelines with Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Create, modify, and run Python scripts for automation.
• Work with REST APIs and Swagger for integration and troubleshooting.
• Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, including Nginx, Kibana, Elasticsearch, and Linux logging systems.
• Maintain and configure both Windows and Linux VMs as per new requirements.
• Configure, update, and troubleshoot Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes environments.

Qualification and Experience

[Infra / Support]

• Linux and Windows server administration expertise.
• Experience with database administration and CRUD operations.
• Troubleshooting skills for deployment environments and connectivity issues.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision

[DevOps]

• Proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines, particularly in GitLab.
• Solid understanding of Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Python scripting knowledge and familiarity with REST APIs and Swagger.
• Experience with logging systems like Kibana and Elasticsearch.
• Strong Azure administration skills, including APIM, Application Gateway, WAF, and VM management.

Preferred Skills

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Fabric environments.
• Familiarity with Red Hat OS-level troubleshooting.
• Capability to deliver proof of concepts for innovative infrastructure requirements.
