Location: Regina, Saskatchewan (100% Onsite)

Start Date: March 23, 2026

Contract Length: 1 year to start with+ 2 optional extension years

Compensation: $75/hr – $100/hr(depending on skills and experience)

Submission Deadline: Thursday, February 5th, 2026


Opportunity Overview

Stafingo is hiring for one or more senior Cybersecurity Consultants to support a large-scale Cybersecurity Maturity Program (CMP) within a provincial public-sector environment.

This role is ideal for a seasoned cybersecurity leader with deep expertise in security architecture, risk management, and strategic planning, who thrives in complex, regulated environments and can bridge technical execution with executive-level strategy.

The successful consultant(s) will play a critical role in advancing enterprise cybersecurity posture, maturity, and resilience across a distributed government IT landscape.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret, enforce, and provide guidance on information security policies, standards, and controls
  • Lead and contribute to cybersecurity strategic planning and risk management initiatives
  • Perform Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs) for enterprise IT initiatives
  • Provide security architecture oversight for IT solutions, services, and procurements
  • Respond to and support information security incidents
  • Deliver security awareness and education across business units
  • Evaluate emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risk trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical and executive stakeholders
  • Contribute to multi-year cybersecurity roadmaps and maturity frameworks
  • Support the development and alignment of a centralized cybersecurity vision


Mandatory Requirements

✔ Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity strategic planning and risk management

✔ Demonstrated experience in solutions architecture, cybersecurity architecture, and/or IT design

✔ Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan starting March 23, 2026


Highly Desired Experience & Assets

  • Experience working within government, public sector, or highly regulated enterprise environments
  • Proven leadership as a security or solutions architect on complex, distributed systems
  • Strong knowledge of industry security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27002:2022, or equivalent)
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise cybersecurity architectures
  • Ability to translate technical risk into executive-level insights and recommendations
  • Experience developing cybersecurity vision papers, roadmaps, or maturity models
  • Exposure to DevSecOps, automation, and secure CI/CD practices
  • Experience with Zero Trust architecture strategy and implementation
  • Formal training in IT design methodologies
  • Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, or equivalent (asset)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience (asset)
  • Formal coursework or certification in Project Management (asset)
