Title: BSA / Scrum Master

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced BSA / Scrum Master to support enterprise-level initiatives. This role combines Business Systems Analysis, Product Owner, and Scrum Master responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong Agile expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working within Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the successful implementation of technical solutions through business process analysis, functional design, best-practice research, requirements definition, system assessments, vendor evaluations, and UAT facilitation.
  • Act as a trusted partner and single point of contact for business stakeholders.
  • Conduct one-on-one interviews, group sessions, workshops, and end-user working sessions to gather and validate requirements.
  • Support business partners in developing Organizational Change Management (OCM) deliverables.
  • Drive roadmap discussions and vendor evaluations.
  • Maintain clear, proactive, and timely communication with management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, developers, and designers to manage scope, solutions, risks, and constraints.
  • Analyze, document, and advise on current and future business process models.
  • Define and document high-level requirements, Epics, and User Stories using Agile methodologies with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Apply systems-thinking to understand the broader context while identifying optimal solutions.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis and application support within enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven Agile mindset with hands-on experience working as both a Scrum Master and BSA; Product Owner experience is a plus.
  • Strong experience documenting Epics, User Stories, and Spikes using tools such as JIRA (Confluence knowledge is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of human-centered design methodologies.
  • Ability to independently manage complex problems in a cross-functional, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear technical expectations.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.

Technical Skills:

  • Search Engine Expertise: Configuration and optimization of boosting rules, synonyms, stop words, and query rewriting.
  • SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL for data validation, profiling, and analysis of search logs and repositories.
  • API Specification & Documentation: Experience defining and managing API contracts using OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Data Mapping & Transformation: Expertise in mapping and transforming source system data to search indexes.
  • API Testing: Hands-on experience using Postman for API validation and JSON response verification.
  • Web Analytics: Experience with platforms such as Adobe Analytics, focusing on search-related KPIs (Zero Results, SCTR, Search-to-Conversion).
  • Tag Management Systems: Experience recommending and implementing website tagging strategies.
  • Data Visualization & BI: Proficiency with Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools.
  • Cloud (AWS): Experience with S3, Lambda, Glue, and workflow orchestration (DAGs).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multiple business units and IT functions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale projects within a matrixed IT organization.
