Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nutanix / Network Engineer to provide part-time, on-demand support for on-site Nutanix HCI deployments. This is not a full-time role; the engineer will be engaged only when deployment or project support is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site deployment of Nutanix HCI nodes as part of Nutanix clusters (typically 3–8 nodes) within customer data centers.
• Conduct pre-installation reviews, including network, infrastructure, and environment readiness assessments.
• Plan and design Nutanix deployments, including implementation and cut-over plans.
• Install and configure hardware, including racking, cabling, and switch connectivity.
• Configure supported hypervisors (excluding Hyper-V).
• Set up and configure Prism Central, VLANs, containers, and Nutanix notifications.
• Perform cluster validation, connectivity testing, and basic migration readiness checks.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to customers, including Prism console usage, CLI commands, and best practices.
• Support project administration activities, including kickoff meetings, scheduling, coordination, communication, and closure documentation.

Engagement Model

• This is a part-time, on-demand role.
• Support will be requested as and when required based on project needs.
• Ideal for freelancers, consultants, or professionals seeking flexible engagements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix HCI deployments.
• Solid understanding of networking, data center infrastructure, and virtualization.
• Experience with on-site deployments and customer-facing environments.
• Ability to work independently and support projects end-to-end.
