What You'll Be Doing

As a Backend Engineer, you'll help build and scale the systems that power our AI assistant. You'll work closely with product, AI, and frontend engineers, and you'll have plenty of autonomy and ownership.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Building and evolving backend services in Kotlin
• Using Kotlin coroutines to write clean, efficient, non-blocking code
• Designing APIs that are reliable, well-documented, and easy to use
• Collaborating with ML engineers to bring AI features safely into production
• Improving performance, scalability, and observability as we grow
• Making pragmatic technical decisions - not chasing complexity for its own sake

What We're Looking For

You don't need to tick every box, but you should feel comfortable with most of these:

• Strong backend experience with Kotlin
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin coroutines
• Experience building APIs or distributed backend systems
• A good understanding of databases and data modelling
• Care for code quality, testing, and long-term maintainability
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup and communicate clearly
