About Your New Job

We are seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join an AI and Machine Learning squad within a Workplace Investing technology group. In this senior role, you will work end-to-end across the ML lifecycle, partnering closely with data engineers and data scientists to design, build, deploy, and scale AI-driven solutions that support participant services and business operations.

You will take a hands-on leadership role in building cloud-based ML platforms, data pipelines, and MLOps capabilities, while influencing technical direction and mentoring engineers across multiple initiatives.

What Skills You Need

• Significant experience working on large-scale software and data platforms
• Strong background in AI/ML engineering with exposure to the full machine learning lifecycle
• Hands-on experience building and deploying ML solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Jenkins, uDeploy, Concourse or similar)
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, SNS, and SQS
• Experience deploying data pipelines and OLTP systems using platforms such as RDS/Postgres and data warehouses like Snowflake
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect, Luigi, or Kubeflow
• API development experience using Python and/or Java (Spring Boot)
• Strong understanding of model development, inference, monitoring, and retraining
• Proven technical leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams

Desirable

• Experience with ML platforms such as SageMaker, Azure ML, MLFlow, Seldon, or similar
• Exposure to cloud AI services and cognitive platforms
• Interest in emerging AI/ML technologies and MLOps practices
