As the Principal DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the adoption of DevOps practices (such as IaC and CI/CD pipelines and technologies) and uplifting the capability of DevOps with operation and development teams across the business.
You will also design and implement cloud solutions which are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable and cost optimised.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy cloud infrastructure environment for large and complex products through the use of automated Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates.
- Implement, develop, and document standards, processes and frameworks to support modern DevOps release deployments across all stages and iterations of the software development lifecycle.
- Lead system design activities for strategic, large and complex systems development programs.
- Develop effective implementation strategies consistent with specified requirements, architectures and constraints of performance and feasibility.
- Apply sound advice and guidance on Information Security practices ensuring that cloud solutions deployed are secure by design and embedded into solution architecture.
- Lead integration work in line with the agreed system and service design, measures and monitors the applications against development standards. Assesses risks and takes preventative action.
- Provide advice and guidance on test planning and executing in addition to adopting the use of modern testing methods, automated tools, and techniques to solve ensuring high quality DevOps practices.
- Through business consultation and collaboration gather requirements and identifying functional needs, define and implement cloud solutions as required.
- Remain up to date with industry trends and technologies, evaluate benefits of adopting into the department, implement and drive adoption.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to cloud security, access controls and privacy compliance/regulations.
- Collaborate with Security teams to implement controls, maintaining a high, compliant security posture.
