We are recruiting for a financial services client who are looking for a Head of AI to establish an Applied Artificial Intelligence division for their office in Dubai.

This is a new position within the company, you will be tasked on both hands on delivery and building the team.

What the role looks like:

• Build an 18-month roadmap for data science & AI.
• Design and build data science & AI products, including custom agentic products/applications leveraging Enterprise LLM's and other tools.
• Support the investment data science team (public and private markets).
• Be able to advise on the right services, toolkits, resources in support of projects and products.
• Introduce an implementation plan for Responsible AI practices into the AI platform.

Experience needed:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in applied data science or AI/ML delivery (within finance / investments is desired)
• 5+ years management experience
• Agentic AI experience
• Full investments life-cycle understanding
• Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models.
• Experience managing quant, data science, and AI third parties internally and externally.
• RAG Pipelines.
• Establishing and managing an Applied AI team.
• Knowledge of responsible AI practices.
• MSc or PhD in relevant STEM (desired).
