LVMH Tech – EA and Data Tech Team is growing and is hiring a Software Engineer.


The Group LVMH

LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) is the worldwide leading luxury group. It counts 75+ brands (called Maisons) headquartered all over the world. LVMH has offices in Paris, New York, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. Our role at LVMH Group is to provide the different brands a support on common areas such as IT or Data. We follow them on their projects and bring everything, assets, and guidelines to provoke accelerated success using the whole group intelligence.


LVMH Tech – EA and Data Tech team

In 2017 LVMH introduced a Data Team in charge of promoting Data & AI all over the group. Its role: Supporting all the Maisons on their Data & AI projects and initiatives with sharable assets, tools, guidelines as well as advice and coaching. Our success indicator is to provoke and measure global improvement on the Data Maturity over the group. We also facilitate the Maisons to share all together about their success on their projects.


The Software Engineer Role

Part of the squad, the Software Engineer is developing the technical features for the product. The role consists of understanding the business requirements specified by the Product Owner, estimating the user stories in the sprint backlog, and delivering the solutions and features related to the sprint backlog.

You would develop the framework: design and integrate new architectures, patterns algorithms and concepts, package them and provide adapted media for the Maisons to use them easily (documentations, tutorials, guidelines).

Goals

· Bring features and improvements on the Product by designing and developing adapted solutions and technologies driven by the usages and the Product Backlog.

· Commit with the team on time-based period workload and share on the progression.

· Define development quality standards, based on product usage, adoption and code base accessibility (for the team)


Responsibilities

· Executing the product backlog by converting the user stories to technical strategies, split them into independent, time evaluated, testable tasks and delivering them (according to the definition of done).

· Applying the quality standards. Making them evolve if necessary.

· Developing understandable and documented architectures, code bases and assets (services, images, etc.).

· Sharing and learning from the team by communicating difficulties and successes, taking and bringing honest feedbacks and improving the identified pain points.

· Taking responsability as member of the team on the product performances (delivery and long term usage)


Preferred experience

Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from Engineering School / University 5+ years of experience in a software engineer position, preferably in an agile organization.
