Junior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

The incumbent’s goal is to support the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems related to bus operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with Mowasalat and industry standards. The role assists senior engineers in electrical system design, project coordination, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all electrical infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities

Electrical System Design & Development

• Assist in designing electrical systems for bus operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate infrastructure requirements and potential upgrades.

Project Management & Coordination

• Support end‑to‑end electrical engineering project execution to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Operations, Maintenance, and IT to ensure smooth project flow.
• Conduct risk assessments and assist in mitigation planning and resource allocation.

Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Reliability

• Participate in creating preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for electrical issues.
• Support implementation of predictive maintenance using data analytics and IoT tools.

Electrical Safety, Compliance & Innovation

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and conduct routine audits.
• Assist in identifying compliance gaps and implementing corrective actions.
• Research emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Data Analytics, Testing & Commissioning

• Analyze data from smart systems to optimize electric bus performance and energy efficiency.
• Support testing and commissioning of charging infrastructure, electric buses, and associated IT systems.
• Document technical performance reports and track key KPIs.

Qualifications, Certificates & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field.

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) – preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Electrical Safety Certification
