Senior Fullstack Developer

Senior Fullstack Developer (Java / DevOps) – 12 Months

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer (Java / DevOps) to join a DevOps team responsible for a highly visible and security-critical external digital platform in the Netherlands.

You will work in a cloud-native, containerized DevOps environment following the principle “you build it, you run it, you own it”. The platform consists of a Java microservices backend, a largely headless frontend, and a CMS-driven architecture, with a strong focus on stability, security, and technical innovation

Mandatory requirements (important)

• Native Dutch speaker (spoken and written)
• Dutch nationality required
• Willingness to undergo security screening

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend, API, and frontend components
• Build and evolve Java microservices and REST APIs
• Contribute to architecture decisions, stability, and modernization
• Reduce CMS coupling and prevent vendor lock-in
• Collaborate closely with testers and DevOps engineers on quality and security
• Work as a T-shaped team member in a DevOps team

Skills:

• Senior-level fullstack developer experience (8+ years) in Agile / DevOps teams
• Strong Java backend expertise:
• Java 17+
• Spring Boot & Spring Security
• Microservices architecture
• API development using REST and OpenAPI (OAS v3)
• Cloud-native development in containerized environments
• Experience with Kubernetes, container packaging, and deployment
• CI/CD pipeline experience with quality gates

Contract Details:

• €90 Euros per hours
• Hybrid 1x a week in Utrecht
• 12 Month mission
