The Role

We are looking for a Head of Engineering who combines deep systems-level expertise with people leadership. This is a hands-on role for a true jack-of-all-trades: someone who enjoys coding, designing systems, solving complex problems, and mentoring others—while helping shape the technical direction of the company.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core systems and infrastructure;
• Write production code in Rust and C/C++ on Linux-based systems;
• Work on data-intensive systems (data pipelines, processing, storage);
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team while remaining hands-on;
• Collaborate closely with R&D and product teams across NL & Sweden;
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across the stack.

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with Rust;
• Solid background in C and/or C++;
• Deep experience working with Linux;
• Experience with data-heavy systems or platforms;
• Proven ability to lead people while staying technically hands-on;
• Comfortable in fast-moving startup environments.
• Right to work in the Netherlands required (no visa sponsorship)
