Data Scientist (Mid) (Ref:GNoK1)

An exciting opportunity to join our client's team at a leading media and entertainment company in Central and Eastern Europe. We are looking for a Data Scientist (Mid) to join this organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand predictive/analytics tools modules
• Implement new decision pages and reusable metrics
• Add analysis angles from the existing backlog
• Translate analytics into action outputs
• Operationalize lifecycle segments/personas/churn outputs
• automated refresh, drift checks, and QA
• Improve the existing churn model and upgrade personas
• Partner with CRM/Marketing on measurement of interventions
• Build a practical evaluation framework: holdouts, A/B test design support, uplift
• Write production-friendly SQL
• Define data contracts for key marts used by tools and models

Requirements

• Solid ML foundations including classification, clustering, validation, leakage prevention, and feature engineering
• Strong Python skills including pandas, numpy, clean coding practices, and ability to ship maintainable notebooks/scripts
• Strong SQL skills including joins, window functions, incremental logic, and reading complex transformations
• Comfortable with product analytics and causal thinking basics including A/B tests, cohorts, and retention curves
• Ability to explain results to non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with recommendation systems evaluation including topN metrics, coverage/diversity, and cold-start
• Exposure to Cloud Data Lake technologies such as Bigquery, Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow concepts
• Streamlit/dashboard building or strong software development experience
• Experience with embeddings/metadata or vector similarity
• Practical evaluation framework design including holdouts and A/B test design support
