About The Role

We’re currently looking for a part-time student (working approx. 2 days per week) with the ambition to join us full-time after graduation - ideally graduating this year or next. You’ll join our AI team and contribute to building the core infrastructure powering Gilion’s AI-driven financial analysis, working closely with experienced engineers and learning how production-grade AI systems are built and operated. You will:

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services that process and serve customer data for AI agents.
• Work with AI orchestration systems to help ensure agents have access to the right tools (MCPs) and data for their tasks.
• Help improve and maintain automated analysis workflows to increase accuracy, scalability, and robustness.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to extend data capabilities and support new data types or sources.
• Assist in monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting data pipelines and LLM features in production.
  
  

About You

You’re a motivated student in the final years of your studies in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, and you’re eager to apply your skills in a real-world product environment. You’re curious, hands-on, and excited about learning from experienced engineers while contributing meaningful code. You likely have:

• Solid foundations in programming, especially in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience from university projects, internships, side projects, or open-source contributions.
• A basic understanding of backend development, APIs, and how systems interact
• Interest in AI, machine learning, data platforms, or modern backend systems.
• The ability to write structured, readable code and a willingness to learn best practices for production systems.
• A proactive mindset – you enjoy taking ownership, asking questions, and improving things over time.
• Good communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative team environment.
