Your role
FMO is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Scrum Master to enable our tech-enabling teams to work as effectively as possible. You are making sure that the scrum values are upheld, while continuously improving the processes and practices to deliver high-quality results. You are a servant-leader who will work closely with the team (e.g. Product Owner, Business Analysts, Developers, etc.) to guide them towards success through the adoption of Agile practices and a strong engineering mindset. Together with the agile coach and other scrum masters you actively participate in the scrum master community and help embed the Agile way of working across the teams that work on FMO’s technology landscape.
Your Key Responsibilities Are
Your team
As a Scrum Master you will be coaching agile teams. These are cross-functional teams within FMO’s tech enabling departments. Next to the teams, you will be closely working together with an Agile Coach and other Scrum Masters.
Your background
You are an energetic and pro-active person who has the leadership skills to lead and facilitate the Scrum ceremonies, promoting collaboration and guiding the team(s) to be highly effective.
You guide the team(s) towards self-management, and you signal room for improvement and you are not afraid to take an active role to realize that improvement.
You have excellent communication skills, and you have a ‘toolbox’ of methods to get the most out of the scrum rituals.
You are experienced in coaching and mentoring, both on team level but also on individual level. When a conflict arises, you are not afraid to step in and have challenging conversations, both within the team or in the broader organization.
You have a positive mindset and a can-do mentality, you bring energy to the team, and you actively help to improve the energy of the team
You combine strong facilitation with an understanding of modern engineering practices, enabling you to bridge Agile ways of working with technical needs and quality.

Your role

Your Key Responsibilities Are
- Ensuring that all scrum events take place in a positive and productive way.
- Helping the team to continuously improve their processes and practices and ensuring that they are aligned with the scrum framework.
- Support the team in its journey towards technical excellence.
- Helping the team to effectively manage dependencies with other teams and collaborate smoothly.
- Removing any obstacles or impediments (including technical blockers) that may be affecting the team's productivity or progress.
- Promoting collaboration and communication between team members and stakeholders.
- Promoting continuous learning and professional development of team members.
- Supporting the PO and the team in achieving their goals and delivering value to the customer.
- Actively listening to the team's concerns and facilitating constructive discussions and problem-solving.
- Helping the team to improve and take responsibility for their actions to deploy agile values, principles and practices.
- Assisting the organization in its Agile adoption in a dual operating model.
- Initiate and support cross team collaboration.
- Supporting planning processes and steering on progress using Azure DevOps
- Competitive Compensation based on your experience: EUR 65-80K annual gross pay (based on 40-hour workweek)

You Also Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Experience or strong affinity with software development and engineering practices
- 4+ year of work experience as a Scrum Master
- Knowledge and experience in an engineering culture and agile delivery environments
- Knowledge and experience with Azure Dev-ops
- A Scrum Master certification such as PSM I and II or CSM
- Proven experience with facilitating and coaching teams in complex environments
- Cultural sensitivity since you will be working with colleagues from many different nationalities
- Good command of the English language both verbally and in writing
