We are currently looking for a “Java Developer” to strengthen the Cronos Europa team.

Responsabilities

  • Revamping of an application that allows users to follow the decision-making process for all EU legislative and non-legislative procedures.
  • The application main functionalities are:
  • a search tool enabling readers to combine many search options to explore the comprehensive procedure records.
  • a plenary calendar to search for information on Parliament's past, present and future part-sessions.
  • procedure files with more information about key players and the sequence of stages, plus more links to various other sites.
  • You will be in charge of frontend and backend developments : Full-Stack development and Functional Analysis

Technical Skills

  • Professional experience in developing server and client-based applications in Java (Minimum Java 8 and Java 11)
  • Good knowledge of Java based Frameworks, Spring Boot and Spring
  • Knowledge of Hibernate
  • Familiarity with Design patterns, basics of software application architectures
  • Knowledge of microservices patterns like CQRS, SAGA, etc.
  • Working experience with designing, developing APIs (REST/SOAP)
  • Knowledge of web services testing tools like SoapUI, Postman, Jmeter, Jenkins, Junit, etc.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Database. Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of web standards, HTML, CSS-based design, cross-browser compatibility.
  • Knowledge of Angular.
  • Knowledge of Apache Tomcat.
  • Knowledge of Maven.
  • Good understanding of Git within a team
  • Knowledge of issue-tracking and ticketing tools (Jira). Knowledge of Service Now is an asset.
  • Knowledge of application integration
  • Experience designing applications with micro services patterns (recommended)
