Role Overview
As an AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the AI capabilities that power our products—spanning speech technologies, natural language understanding, multimodal classifiers, retrieval systems, and LLM-based agents. You will work closely with product managers, forward deployed engineers, and other technical teams to bring models from prototype to robust, scalable production services.
Your work will directly influence real-world deployments in healthcare environments, where accuracy, safety, and responsiveness are critical.
Responsibilities
Product Development
- Design and build AI agents and pipelines across Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, Natural Language Understanding, retrieval, tool-use and other capabilities.
- Develop proof-of-concept prototypes and configure existing product to support the presale process
- Define evaluation metrics focused on accuracy, latency, robustness, and healthcare-specific KPIs.
- Perform systematic error analysis and iterate using data improvements, prompt refinements, or model architecture adjustments.
- Build evaluation datasets and edge‑case test suites to ensure reliability under production conditions.
- Strong academic excellence (GPA: 4.0 out of 5 or equivalent)
- Strong proficiency in use of coding agent, such as Claude Code,
- Strong proficiency in Python, Javascript and modern AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with strong debugging and performance optimization skills (beyond prompting LLM/agent repeatedly).
- Comfort working across the full lifecycle of AI agent product development—scoping, experimentation, iteration, and deployment.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
- Past internship or project experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Past internship or project experience dealing with conversation data and speech pipelines.
- Experience with evaluation frameworks for speech/LLM systems.
- Past research publications in the relevant domains
