What project we have for you

Intellias is partnering with a Fortune 100, Midwest-based industrial manufacturer to modernize and expand a suite of cloud-based services and data products used by a global network of dealers, enterprise customers, and internal business units. Our cross-functional teams deliver scalable APIs, event-driven services, and analytics pipelines that power quoting, ordering, asset telemetry, diagnostics, and lifecycle support for heavy equipment in the field.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS-based ETL pipelines for ingesting and transforming IoT telemetry from edge devices into enriched datasets
• Build secure, scalable backend services delivering real-time and historical data to internal engineering consumers and customer-facing APIs
• Parse and convert binary telemetry into structured data with metadata, geospatial context, and asset status indicators
• Support storage tiering for hot path streaming analytics and cold path warehousing workloads
• Maintain and optimize data flow and schemas across Snowflake and operational data stores
• Contribute to the modernization of the pipeline from Azure DevOps → GitHub Actions
• Apply monitoring and logging best practices to ensure reliable, observable data operations
• Advocate for engineering quality, maintain clear documentation, and support knowledge sharing across the organization

What you need for this

• 8+ years designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining backend services, distributed systems, and microservices at scale in production environments (Python 3.12 and Java 21)
• Hands-on AWS expertise (services like Lambda, S3, RDS, Kinesis Streams, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch), event-driven patterns, and serverless operational models;
• CI/CD: Azure DevOps & GitHub Actions (full migration to the latter by the end of 2026)
• Hands-on ETL and IoT binary data processing experience: parsing, transforming, and enriching telemetry and streaming data with geospatial and asset metadata
• Experience working with Snowflake (or large-scale cloud data warehousing), SQL optimization, and efficient schema design
• Test automation experience with unit/integration testing for backend and streaming pipelines
• Ability to provide 6 hours overlap with US Central Time (CT) on business days
• Ability to support 24×7 on-call shifts
