Senior DeltaV Automation Engineer – Biotech / Pharma Manufacturing (80–100%)

📍 Visp, Switzerland | Full-time / Near Full-time

We are seeking an experienced DeltaV Automation Engineer to support and optimise highly automated biologics manufacturing facilities in a regulated GMP environment. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of life sciences manufacturing, contributing directly to the production of medicines that impact millions of lives globally.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and deliver electrical and automation readiness activities (maintenance, upgrades, changeovers) within budget and timelines
• Ensure reliable operation of highly automated biologics facilities using DeltaV and MES platforms
• Execute GMP-compliant activities including testing, documentation, and change management (e.g. Kneat, Ubik)
• Maintain and update plant documentation in SAP and COMOS to meet regulatory requirements
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes, workflows, and operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Systems Engineering, or related field (BSc, FH, HF, EFZ or equivalent experience)
• Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of DeltaV, MES (e.g. Syncade), SAP, and COMOS
• Solid understanding of GMP standards and regulated production environments
• Proficiency in English and/or German
• Independent, reliable working style with strong problem-solving skills
