Devops Engineer - AWS

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong AWS expertise to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, security best practices, and modern DevOps tooling.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

Design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, etc.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.
Automate configuration management using Ansible / Chef / Puppet.

Containerization & Orchestration

Build and manage Docker images and registries.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred).
Implement service mesh, autoscaling, and monitoring solutions.

Monitoring, Logging & Optimization

Implement monitoring & alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack.
Troubleshoot performance issues across infrastructure, applications, and network layers.
Improve system reliability, scalability, and cost optimization on AWS.

Security & Compliance

Implement secure IAM practices, policies, and access controls.
Manage network security: VPC, Security Groups, NACLs, WAF, etc.
Ensure compliance with best practices for cloud security and data protection.

Collaboration & Support

Work closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes.
Provide on-call support and troubleshoot production issues.
Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure.
Strong expertise in:
AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, ELB, EKS)
CI/CD tools: Jenkins / GitLab CI / GitHub Actions / AWS CodePipeline
IaC: Terraform or CloudFormation
Docker, Kubernetes (EKS highly preferred)
Experience with Linux administration.
Familiarity with scripting languages: Python / Bash / Shell.
Experience with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancing, VPN, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

AWS Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps)
Experience with microservices, serverless frameworks.
Exposure to GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
Experience with cost optimization strategies on AWS.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments.
