🚀 The Opportunity

We’re building the intelligence layer for the real estate market

This is not a listings platform and not a document search tool. Our product turns large volumes of messy, unstructured property data into structured market intelligence: trends, anomalies, and investment-relevant signals

As our first engineering hire, you’ll own the technical foundation from 0→1 — designing the data platform, ML pipelines, and system architecture that everything else will be built on

🧠 What You’ll Own

• Design and build data ingestion pipelines for unstable, anti-bot-protected web sources
• Create a normalized data layer that connects property information across thousands of sources
• Build ML / analytics pipelines to compute market signals and detect anomalies
• Use LLMs as a reasoning and interface layer on top of structured data (not as the core system)
• Make architectural decisions end-to-end: data models, pipelines, services, infra
• Work directly with the founders on product and technical direction

Lay the groundwork for future engineers and grow into a technical leadership role

✅ What Matters Most (Core Requirements)

• We care much more about technical maturity and system thinking than a specific stack.
• Strong experience building production systems from scratch (0→1)
• Deep comfort with data-heavy systems and unstructured inputs
• Practical understanding of ML / analytics pipelines (feature generation, evaluation, iteration)
• Ability to think in systems, data flows, and trade-offs — not just APIs

• 🧩 Current Technical Direction (Flexible)This reflects our current thinking — not a strict checklist.
• Backend / Platform: flexible (Node.js, Python, or similar)
• Data Layer: PostgreSQL (with possible graph / vector extensions)
• Ingestion: Playwright or similar scraping approaches
• ML / Analytics: signal extraction, anomaly detection, feature pipelines
• LLMs: reasoning & interface layer, agentic workflows where useful
• Frontend: React / Angular

Infra: Cloud (AWS / GCP), Docker, CI/CDWe care about why you choose tools, not whether you’ve used ours.

• Experience as a founding or early-stage engineer
• Knowledge graphs or complex data models

Background in PropTech, FinTech, or market intelligence products
