Full Stack Developer – Google Cloud Platform (Tampere)

About the Role

The company is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join its growing engineering team in Tampere. In this role, you will design and develop modern cloud‑native applications, working across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with product owners, UX designers, and other developers to build scalable, maintainable, and high‑quality digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver full‑stack features using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Build APIs, microservices, and integrations running on Google Cloud Platform.
• Use GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore, BigQuery, GKE, or Cloud SQL.
• Ensure application reliability through automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate in an agile team, participate in sprint planning, refinement, and design sessions.
• Contribute to architectural design decisions and best practices for cloud‑native development.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain applications and GCP infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience with full‑stack development, including modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Solid backend experience with Node.js, Java, Python, or similar.
• Practical experience building and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Good understanding of containerization (Docker) and optional familiarity with Kubernetes (GKE).
• Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Professional proficiency in English; Finnish is an advantage.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Familiarity with event‑driven systems (Pub/Sub).
• Experience in designing scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Background in UI/UX or full‑stack application architecture.
