About the Role

The company is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of modern cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services. This role is ideal for a cloud professional who thrives on building scalable, secure, and automated cloud environments that support mission‑critical applications and business transformation initiatives.

As an AWS Cloud Architect, you will work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to ensure cloud architectures follow best practices, meet performance targets, and align with long‑term strategic goals. The position offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to shape cloud capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise‑grade AWS architectures including compute, networking, storage, security, and automation.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to build and refine CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and IaC solutions.
• Ensure best‑practice use of AWS services for scalability, security, monitoring, and cost efficiency.
• Work with stakeholders to translate technical requirements into robust cloud solutions.
• Conduct architectural reviews, provide technical guidance, and act as a subject‑matter expert for AWS.
• Develop and maintain cloud governance, standards, and documentation.
• Support troubleshooting of complex cloud infrastructure issues.

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudFormation/Terraform, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Proven background in cloud architecture, solution design, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, identity management, and cloud governance.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD tooling, and automation technologies.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Fluency in English; Finnish proficiency considered an advantage.

Nice-to-Have

• AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialist.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud, edge solutions, or migration frameworks.
• Background in enterprise environments or large‑scale distributed systems.
