Summer Trainee, Cybersecurity Governance

KONE Cybersecurity team is responsible for cybersecurity frameworks, processes, tools, and metrics used at KONE to control our cybersecurity risk. We work together with all KONE units globally and engage directly with customers to support their cybersecurity needs. Our North Stars, aligned with KONE strategy are 1) Winning in customer trust, 2) Secure digital acceleration, and 3) Resilient supply chain and IoT. 

We are looking for a

Summer Trainee, Cybersecurity Governance

to join our Governance, Risk and Resilience team and work with colleagues responsible for shaping cybersecurity and AI governance on a global scale.

We are looking for a student to work for up to 4 months between May and September 2026, based on availability and preference. You will be part of the Cybersecurity team in Espoo, Finland and we expect you to work from the office 3 days a week.

In this position you will get to:

• Manage and organize cybersecurity and AI governance knowledge repositories in Confluence and SharePoint
• Design, build, and improve digital tools (dashboards, applications, workflows)
• Contribute to the development and continual improvement of ISO 27001 (Cybersecurity management) and ISO 42001 (AI management) certification programs
• Explore opportunities to automate cybersecurity and AI governance processes.
  
  

In order to be successful in this role, you preferably have

• Experience working with content management platforms such as Confluence or SharePoint
• Passion for driving projects that lead to scalable and high-quality solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in English for a global, multicultural environment
• Basic understanding or strong interest in cybersecurity principles and frameworks such as ISO 27001
• Interest or knowledge in AI governance and emerging standards like ISO 42001
• Completed most of your studies toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and governance practices that strengthen digital trust.
