In the position of EDI Engineer, you will ensure seamless Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) operations across 17 European countries, each with its own unique laws and regulations. You will work closely with our procurement, finance, and customer service teams. Additionally, you will collaborate extensively with our US team to align global EDI strategies and practices, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all regions.

As the EDI Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing EDI processes, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining compliance with diverse regulatory requirements. Your role will involve coordinating with external partners and vendors, staying abreast of industry trends, and developing comprehensive documentation for EDI procedures.

You will report to the Lead EDI Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in processes, procedures and systems
  • Act as subject matter expert for all EDI related topics
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners and vendors to facilitate smooth EDI operations
  • Develop, configure, and maintain EDI integrations and mappings

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of EDI standards (PEPPOL, ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols (AS2, FTP/SFTP)
  • Hands-on experience with EDI mapping tools (e.g., IBM Sterling, Seeburger, BizTalk).
  • Understanding of ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
