We’re looking for a Lead Data Scientist to drive high-impact AI initiatives across a global, innovation-focused organisation. In this role, you’ll shape advanced AI solutions, guide technical delivery, and partner with senior stakeholders to unlock meaningful business value through GenAI, machine learning, and modern data science.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects that leverage GenAI, machine learning, and statistical techniques to improve business performance and unlock new opportunities.
• Build and mature AI capabilities and infrastructure, ensuring smooth deployment of models from prototype through to production.
• Act as a central expert for advanced data analysis, providing guidance on cutting-edge AI methodologies and supporting teams in applying state-of-the-art techniques.
• Translate complex concepts into clear narratives, delivering insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences through compelling communication and visual storytelling.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, identifying opportunities where new tools, models, or approaches can drive competitive advantage and business innovation.
• Collaborate with quantitative, engineering, and technology teams to strengthen internal AI communities and drive best practices.
• Ensure technical quality, scalability, and robustness across all AI solutions and pipelines.

What You Bring

• A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
• Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of GenAI, deep learning, and current AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and advancements.
• Several years of hands-on experience delivering AI, ML, or data science projects in a professional setting.
• Strong coding ability (Python) and experience with modern ML frameworks, as well as building applications based on LLMs or agentic setups.
• Solid understanding of cloud-based AI environments and platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks, Kubernetes, MLOps) and experience working with modern software development and agile delivery practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive alignment across technical and business teams.
• A collaborative mindset, with experience working in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
• Experience in regulated or data-heavy industries is a plus, but not required.
• Fluency in German and English
