We, at Eight Shades Media, are looking for a dedicated Network Engineer with outstanding Network experience to join our team and service our Cloud and Managed Services customers. As part of our team, you will get exposure to not only a wide range of Cloud-Based Platforms like AWS, Azure and GCP within our own environment but also different technologies at our customer site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making sure IT services and systems are fully operational and available at all times.
  • Provide design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network and network security solutions across networking equipment, load balancers, firewalls, web proxies and network access control systems
  • Lead networking as code initiatives with other infrastructure teams, focusing on automating and testing cloud infrastructure in the development process.
  • Support teams with responsibility for on-premise networking and systems to ensure high levels of design and support, and keep the cloud environment and on-premise environment in step.
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Provide capacity and performance management analysis of IT systems based on current and forecasted load.
  • Proactively analyse and suggest enhancements to network operations and systems, both hardware and software, as part of continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you would have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Team player attitude with a strong drive for achieving high-quality service.
  • Hands-on experience with physical network devices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally with partners, customers, and internal teams.
  • Professional experience with Cloud Networking Platforms, like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in consulting, design, implementation and managing different environments.
  • Expertise in Routing and Switching (Juniper & Aruba switches and routers)
  • Experience working in Data Centres, Racking Switches, Cabling, Power, etc.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and when faced with adversity or urgent issues
  • Network Certifications CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or industry standard equivalent.
