Junior Information Security Analyst

We're searching for a talented consultant to join our client's team, dedicated to ensuring the security of their IT environment. This role involves monitoring and analyzing security systems, responding to potential threats, and implementing robust security measures. The candidate will collaborate with various teams to maintain compliance and adapt to evolving security challenges.

Responsibilities

As part of the team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring security systems and analyzing alerts to identify and respond to threats.
  • Investigating and resolving security incidents, including breaches and malware infections.
  • Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to address security weaknesses.
  • Implementing and managing security policies and procedures to safeguard IT assets.
  • Collaborating with IT and security teams to uphold compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for security processes, incidents, and risk assessments.
  • Staying updated on the latest security threats, trends, and best practices to enhance overall security.


Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in security analysis and incident response.
  • Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Strong understanding of network security, threat analysis, and risk management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both English and Dutch is required.
