About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems & Network Engineer to join our Automotive division. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced network architectures tailored for automotive and defense applications. Your expertise will ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of vehicle communication systems, emphasizing security, reliability, and efficiency. As a technical point of contact, you will collaborate closely with subsystem suppliers, support testing and certification processes, and contribute to the development of innovative vehicle network solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects that influence the future of mobility and vehicle connectivity.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, System Engineering, or a related field. Extensive knowledge of network technologies, particularly TCP/IP architectures and Ethernet networks, is essential. Candidates should have proven experience in configuring and analyzing Ethernet networks, including VLANs, and a strong understanding of network protocols such as DDS, ARP, IP, DHCP, TCP/UDP, Routing, DNS, as well as CAN/CAN-FD and RS-232. Familiarity with IT security measures, especially in regulated environments, is highly desirable, along with experience in security frameworks like SAVe (infodas). Excellent communication skills in both German and English, along with the ability to manage complex systems and interface effectively with stakeholders, are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include developing innovative network architectures and routing concepts, creating data flow diagrams, and designing communication matrices for vehicle systems. You will ensure the functionality, performance, and security of network systems by adhering to engineering and release processes. Additionally, you will define and maintain TCP/IP layer architectures, configure Ethernet networks, and analyze network performance to meet technical and safety standards. Managing system architecture, interface coordination, ICD alignment, and documentation such as block diagrams will be key tasks. You will also serve as the technical contact for projects within the mobility sector, supporting subsystem suppliers, assisting with testing, certification, and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.
