Role Overview
As a Financial Analyst at PIL, you will play a critical role in managing financial data, analysing business performance, and supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-evolving regulatory and market environment. This role integrates traditional financial analysis with a strong understanding of digital assets, crypto markets, and the operational dynamics of a regulated CASP.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyse company financial performance against KPIs and operational metrics, identifying trends and variances.
- Monitor operational and infrastructure costs, including technology, licensing, and compliance expenses.
- Support treasury operations by reviewing expenses and initiating payments.
- Preparation of VAT returns and other tax filings required by the tax authorities.
- Assist in monitoring liquidity and capital adequacy metrics, especially those required by regulatory frameworks such as MiCAR.
- Provide financial data and reporting required for regulatory submissions, audits, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with compliance, risk, and operations teams to ensure alignment between financial reporting and regulatory obligations.
- Assist with implementing financial controls relevant to crypto assets, including segregation of client funds and safeguarding assets.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for senior leadership and board-level reviews.
- Build dashboards and analytics summarizing financial and operational performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives, pricing strategies, product development, and market expansion.
- Work with product and technology teams to understand cost drivers, new features, and platform economics.
- Collaborate with the CTO’s team to understand infrastructure investment needs and cost
- optimization opportunities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in financial analysis, planning or related roles.
- Strong Excel/Sheets and financial modeling skills.
- Understanding of blockchain technology, crypto markets, or digital asset products.
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as adopted by the EU and Irish law (Companies Act 2014).Strong communication skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear insights
