PHP Backend Developer

At Capitole we are looking for a PHP Backend Software Engineer to join the development team to help build and evolve high-quality, scalable platforms. If you are passionate about backend development, clean architecture, and modern cloud-native environments, this could be your next challenge.

You will work on the development and maintenance of backend systems platforms, ensuring optimal performance, robustness, and a seamless user experience. This is a hands-on role where code quality, best practices, and collaboration really matter.

🔧 We’re looking for someone with:

• 5+ years of backend experience with PHP & Symfony
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, DDD, and TDD
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
• Solid understanding of design patterns and clean code principles
• Experience working in agile, collaborative environments
• Advanced English and strong communication skills
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies (Golang / Python is a plus)

💡 In this role you’ll:

• Build and maintain scalable backend systems for our platforms
• Design and expose robust RESTful APIs
• Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability using best practices
• Work in cloud-native environments (AWS, containers, orchestration)
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and DevOps teams
• Continuously improve systems and development processes

📍 Location: Barcelona (Hybrid)

💼 Contract: Permanent
