Brand Designer - Contract

This role is ideal for a designer passionate about crafting distinctive brand identities that break away from conventional real estate aesthetics. The project centers on developing a pared-back, editorial-inspired visual identity for a Vancouver-based realtor’s new website. The focus is on clarity, refined typography, and timeless design, with an emphasis on concept and craft over sales-driven visuals. The selected designer will collaborate closely to create a cohesive brand system and supporting materials, ensuring a seamless handoff to the website designer. This is a small, intentional project with the potential for future collaboration.

Deliverables

• Develop a comprehensive brand identity system, including logo, color palette, and typography guidelines
• Design supporting materials such as business cards, letterheads, and digital assets
• Create brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints
• Prepare assets for handoff to the website designer
• Provide recommendations for maintaining a cohesive editorial look and feel
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in brand identity and editorial design, preferably with a portfolio showcasing minimalist and concept-driven work
• Strong skills in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or equivalent design tools
• Ability to translate abstract concepts into clear, timeless visual solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to craft and quality
• Availability for a small-scale project with potential for follow-up work
