Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models suitable for banking data domains.
• Ensure data quality, governance and security standards are consistently applied.
• Drive engineering best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD and documentation.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of data engineers.
• Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Prioritize and manage team’s workload, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
• Oversee sprint planning, backlog and cross-team coordination.
• Ensure documentation is clear, complete and up to date.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, product managers.

Job Requirements

• Relevant experience in a senior or lead data engineering role.
• Strong background in Data Warehouse design and development
• Solid expertise of SQL/PLSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Expertise with modern data processing frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms is a major plus (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect) is an advantage.
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, and security principles.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to make pragmatic decisions.
• Ability to balance hands‑on work with strategic planning.
