Platform Engineer (CI/CD)

Overview:

BSQ Talent is working with a high-growth deep-tech company building advanced robotics and machine-vision systems used globally in manufacturing and automation. They’re hiring a Senior or Staff-level Platform Engineer to help scale their CI/CD, system testing, and developer infrastructure, with scope to grow into a team lead role over time.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical leadership position. You’ll design, build, and evolve the internal platforms that power software, firmware, and hardware testing—enabling engineering teams to move fast, safely, and with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development and operation of CI/CD, test infrastructure, and internal tooling
• Scale and maintain CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker, self-hosted runners)
• Define long-term platform and infrastructure strategy
• Improve developer productivity via automation, faster builds, and reliable tests
• Strengthen embedded and hardware-in-the-loop testing in CI
• Collaborate closely with software, firmware, and systems teams

Ideal Background

• Experience shaping CI/CD or platform infrastructure in a scaling tech environment
• Strong coding skills in Python and shell (C/C++ a plus)
• Deep understanding of modern DevOps / CI tooling
• Experience testing embedded or hardware-adjacent systems is highly valued
• Strong developer-enablement mindset

Nice to Have

• CMake / Bazel or embedded build systems
• Infrastructure-as-code, containers, orchestration, or virtualization
• Cloud experience (e.g., Azure)
• Interest in developer experience at scale
