Job Title: Automation Engineer (Python)

Location: Toronto, ON (4x onsite a week)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: CAD$40 - $45/HR INC

Interview Type: Face 2 Face (Onsite Interview Only)

Job Description

  • We are looking for a Python Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in developing automation solutions and infrastructure automation.
  • The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Python programming for automation and scripting.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using Python.
  • Build, manage, and enhance automation workflows using Ansible.
  • Develop Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and modules for infrastructure and application automation.
  • Integrate Python-based automation with Ansible for scalable and reusable solutions.
  • Automate repetitive operational, deployment, and configuration management tasks.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing automation scripts and playbooks.
  • Ensure automation solutions follow best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Maintain documentation for automation workflows, scripts, and configurations.
  • Work in a Linux-based environment and handle system-level automation tasks.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable automation code.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automation where required.
