Project Manager Scrum Master

The Scrum Master is responsible for guiding one or more Scrum teams in applying Agile principles and practices, ensuring smooth sprint execution and continuous improvement. The role acts as a servant‑leader, working closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to maximize the value delivered by the team.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives) and keep them focused and time‑boxed.
• Remove impediments and coordinate with other teams or functions to resolve blockers affecting the sprint goal.
• Coach the team on Agile/Scrum values, self‑organization, and cross‑functionality, helping them continuously improve.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the product backlog, clarify user stories, and align on sprint goals.
• Track and communicate key Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput) and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders.
• Protect the team from scope creep and unnecessary external interruptions, fostering a culture of focus and accountability.

Required skills and experience

• Scrum Master or Agile Coach, preferably on software/IT product or project teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, and experience working with cross‑functional teams.
• Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar for backlog and sprint management.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, conflict‑resolution, and stakeholder‑management skills.
