Senior Python Software Engineer

Our project is connected to a leading multi-factor authentication (MFA) and secure access provider. We believe security should help people get their jobs done rather than stand in their way by enabling customers to configure policies that adjust access or trust levels based on user and device context while minimizing friction and maintaining strong protection against attacks.

At the core of these access decisions is the project policy engine, and to support this mission, we are forming a new team to build the next generation of policy solutions for our customers.

IF YOU ARE

  • Proficient in Python with at least 3 years of experience
  • Experienced with one of the following frameworks: Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • Confident in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Knowledgeable in AWS services such as Route53, CloudFormation, EC2, Certificate Manager, and S3
  • Well-versed in NoSQL databases, including Redis and MongoDB
  • Experienced in containerization using Docker
  • Skilled in designing and consuming REST APIs
  • Aware of deployment strategies and cloud-based deployment approaches
  • Confident working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
  • Experienced with monitoring and logging services such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Knowledgeable in basic networking concepts and DNS
  • Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side
  • Familiar with cybersecurity principles and best practices as applied to backend development (considered an advantage)
  • Skilled in identity and access management concepts, including SSO, 2FA, MFA, LDAP, SCIM, and Active Directory (a strong plus)
  • Aware of Go, Wireshark, and Twisted (nice to have)
  • Familiar with concurrent programming concepts (as a bonus)

  • Extend project service solutions into customer environments and primary identity stores
  • Use a combination of Python (85%) and JavaScript with React (15%) to deliver a secure and unobtrusive user experience
  • Apply software craftsmanship principles through testing, continuous integration, build automation, and mentorship
  • Prioritize team success and collaborate closely to achieve shared sprint goals
  • Learn continuously and contribute to the team in a meaningful way
  • Work with tools supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to streamline the development lifecycle
  • Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance of applications
  • Leverage AWS services for log processing and data analysis to identify bottlenecks and improve the performance and reliability of web applications
