Cloud Architect

Title: Cloud Infrastructure Enterprise Architect.

Location - Dubai.

This is Permanent Position under Client.

Summary:

Own the strategy, design, and governance of secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS), enabling hybrid enterprise workloads through standardized landing zones, robust networking, zero trust security, and automation-first delivery.

Must-Haves: Azure or AWS advanced certification (Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS SA–Professional), Terraform expertise, TOGAF certification, enterprise networking and security design, proven delivery in large/regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities: Define target architecture and standards; lead platform/landing zone builds; drive governance and FinOps; partner with security/NetOps/App teams; ensure HA/DR, observability, and compliance; guide modernization/migration programs; communicate with executives; mentor engineering teams.

Required Experience: 10–15 years IT, 5–8 years cloud/infrastructure architecture; hybrid connectivity; IAM/RBAC and encryption; container platform fundamentals; CI/CD for infra; cost optimization; documentation excellence.

Preferred: CCSP/CISSP; networking/container specialties; FinOps certification; multi-cloud experience.

Cloud Architecture (one primary hyperscaler, working knowledge of another)

Landing zones, multi-account/subscription design, guardrails, policies

Hybrid connectivity (on-prem ↔ cloud), multi-cloud patterns

High availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (RTO/RPO)

Networking (Enterprise-grade)

VPC/VNet design, peering, routing, DNS, load balancing, WAF

Private connectivity (Azure ExpressRoute / AWS Direct Connect), VPN, BGP

Security & Identity

IAM/RBAC, least privilege, Zero Trust patterns

Secrets management, KMS/HSM, encryption at rest/in transit

Network segmentation, private endpoints, firewalls

Compliance-aware designs (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2; GDPR/industry where relevant)

Infrastructure Platform

Compute (VMs, auto-scaling), storage (object/block/file, lifecycle), backup/restore

Containers & orchestration fundamentals (AKS/EKS; cluster networking & security basics)

Automation & DevOps

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required; plus Bicep/ARM or CloudFormation)

CI/CD integration for infra, policy as code, GitOps workflows

Cost & Performance

FinOps (cost modeling, tagging/taxonomy, showback/chargeback)

Optimization (reserved capacity/savings plans, rightsizing, storage lifecycle)
