Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer

Role Summary

You own security across the DevOps lifecycle. You integrate security into build, deploy, and run stages. You work with engineering, cloud, and operations teams. You reduce risk and improve delivery speed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain secure CI CD pipelines
  • Integrate security scanning into pipelines
  • Manage secrets, keys, and certificates
  • Automate security controls and checks
  • Monitor vulnerabilities and threats
  • Respond to security incidents
  • Enforce security policies and standards
  • Support audits and compliance reviews
  • Work with cloud and platform teams
  • Improve infrastructure security posture

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with DevOps and security practices
  • Hands on with CI CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with container security for Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of cloud security on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with GCP, DAST, and dependency scanning tools
  • Strong Linux administration skills
  • Knowledge of networking and application security
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools

Security and Compliance

  • Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar standards
  • Experience with risk assessment and threat modeling
  • Understanding of oil and gas security requirements

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Problem solving mindset
  • Ownership and accountability

Education

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice to Have

  • Security certifications like CEH, CISSP, or AWS Security
  • Experience in oil and gas environments
