Job Description Summary
As System Engineer, focused on the Installed Base, you will ensure that our released Patient Monitoring products remain safe, reliable, compliant, and high‑performing throughout their lifecycle. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and turn clinical and customer needs into system‑level improvements. Your work will help safeguard continuity of care across a large installed base of equipment. You will scope issues, support structured decision‑making, and lead engineering changes that keep devices safe and compliant in the field. You are located in Finland and operate in a hybrid work model with minimum 3 days per week at our site in Helsinki.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead system-level engineering changes for released products, including design maintenance, component obsolescence, and improvements in manufacturability and serviceability;
- Drive structured root‑cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA);
- Maintain and update the Design History File (DHF) for sustaining activities;
- Translate clinical use cases into system requirements and manage subsystem interfaces;
- Conduct risk evaluations such as FMEA and support verification and validation activities;
- Ensure changes align with architecture, design controls, and system performance requirements.
- Work within GE HealthCare’s Quality Management System and regulatory standards.
- Assist Quality and Regulatory teams with required documentation and submissions. Partner with manufacturing, service teams, suppliers, field engineers, and clinical stakeholders.
- Participate in usability studies and clinical evaluations when needed.
- Degree in Engineering or a related field;
- Several years of experience in medical devices or other regulated industries;
- Experience with testing, measurement technology, and complex systems;
- Strong documentation, communication, problem-solving and decision‑making skills;
- Proficiency in technical English.
