Fertilizers contribute ~5% of global emissions, which makes them a key area for decarbonization. With Proba, agri-food businesses can quantify, verify, and report emission reductions from fertilizer-related interventions within their supply chains using Impact Units. These units facilitate the financing and scaling of GHG emission reduction projects, which benefit each supply chain member, and our planet.

Why we need you

We want to expand our engineering team and we’re looking for a Full-Stack Developer who is ambitious, curious, and attentive to detail. You’ll work closely with our tech lead, product manager, and the rest of the team to build and improve our platform, implement new features, and solve challenges related to data, integrations, and user experience.

The Role

As a Full-Stack Developer at Proba, you will help build new features, improve the user experience, and contribute to a secure and scalable platform. You’ll touch both frontend and backend code and collaborate across the team to deliver high-quality solutions. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone early in their career (at least 2 years experience) looking to work with modern technologies and making a real impact on climate change. We are looking for someone who is fluent in English and has strong communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy new platform features across the stack
• Collaborate closely with product, tech lead, and business teams to deliver meaningful solutions
• Increase performance, reliability, and security across the platform
• Stay up to date on trends in blockchain, AI, and sustainability that may enhance our platform

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development
• Experience with both frontend and backend development, and programming languages such as TypeScript, Python and Go. 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), GitHub and MongoDB. 
• Experience with or interest in blockchain technology is a plus
• Pragmatic, strong problem-solving skills, and a results-oriented mindset
• Interest in sustainability and/or climate action
• You (will) live in the Netherlands and join us regularly in the Amsterdam office
