Data Scientist – Commercial:

About the role:

We’re looking for a Data Scientist - Commercial to help shape and deliver high‑impact data science solutions that drive real business outcomes. In this hands‑on role, you’ll work closely with the Lead Data Scientist and commercial stakeholders to translate business questions into robust analytical models, with a strong focus on Bayesian techniques, machine learning, and market mix modelling.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys applying advanced analytics to practical commercial challenges and influencing decision‑making through data‑driven insights.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, develop and implement commercial data science solutions, with a particular focus on Bayesian methodologies
  • Build, optimise and maintain market mix models and related commercial analytics solutions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives and ensure analytics solutions deliver measurable impact
  • Generate insights and recommendations using statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
  • Support AI exploration initiatives by contributing to experimentation, modelling and insight generation
  • Stay current with developments in Bayesian modelling, machine learning and their commercial applications

What you’ll bring:

  • A Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science or a closely related field
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Bayesian modelling and advanced statistical techniques
  • Experience developing market mix models or similar commercial data science solutions
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, with experience working on cloud platforms such as Databricks and Azure
  • The ability to clearly communicate complex technical insights to non‑technical stakeholders
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for using data to solve real‑world business problems
