Senior Frontend Developer

Job Role:

A dedicated startup is being formed to industrialize and scale a secure, AI-enabled, multi-source decision-support software offering. The platform is a multi-sensor fusion and agentic AI solution connecting to diverse data sources (for example geospatial layers, imagery, video, and other operational signals). This role will support the delivery of a scalable product and contribute to establishing the processes, standards, and collaboration practices required for sustainable growth.

The Senior Frontend Developer will lead the design, development, and optimization of modern, high-performance single page applications using React. This role involves collaborating closely with project manager, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, scalable, and intuitive user experiences. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert who can drive frontend architecture decisions, and champion best practices across the engineering team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex single page applications using React and related technologies.
• Architect scalable, modular, and reusable frontend components and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and UX designs into high-quality code.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement and advocate for best practices in frontend development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Integrate secure RESTful APIs, streaming services, secure websocket connections, authentication, authorization, and other backend services into the frontend application.
• Lead technical discussions, propose innovative solutions, and contribute to long-term product strategy.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, frameworks, and industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with at least 3 years focused on React.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade single page applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with GitHub practices and GitHub workflows.
• Familiarity with modern build tools and workflows (npm/yarn).
• Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and responsive design principles.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as React Testing Library, or Cypress.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques and browser rendering behavior.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
